I often post about Microstock business recently. Whereas some people may wonder what this business concerns, some others sometimes misunderstand this term – it just leads them to think that this business deals with “stocks”. Microstock is a photo, vector, and video trading with a free-royalty system. What a trader needs to do in this business is just to make a one-off purchase. As the feedback, this transaction gives them unlimited rights to access and utilize those products, certainly with some terms and conditions.
This one-off purchase doesn’t necessarily mean a restricted product reselling. The benefit is that we can resell the product as many as we like to another customer. Imagine that you have 200 images. When you can sell 100 images in a day, you can earn $25 just in one day. If this sale pattern consistently occurs in 30 days, you can get $750 in your pocket. This amount is pretty a lot in Indonesian living standard.
Is it easy to get that amount?
The profit you can get all depends on your effort. The key is a time management. It takes a long time to have 200 vectors. So, the best solution is to sleep less and work hard Spend a lot more time to boost your productivity. It seems that you won’t encounter a big barrier to do so, as you do the job from home or “warkop” (coffee shop with internet connection). Just enjoy the process
How to maintain the target 100 images sold per day?
Don’t forget that quality plays an important role in determining the target achievement. Focusing on the quantity would ruin the business. If you are quantity-oriented, then you need to switch your concern to quality oriented first. The key to your target achievement is to improve the quality first before the quantity. Having a good reputation on this matter will keep you on the target. And don’t forget to review the market trend.

You need to keep in your mind that any business requires perseverance. Nothing comes easy. Remember that you are targeting is $750. Do more, achieve more.
Can I run this business while working somewhere else?
Certainly yes! I am a designer for a newspaper company. Despite this job, I design vectors in my spare time for my Microstock account. Even, I sit for it after hours. However, due to the prospect of this business, I am thinking to resign from the company in the near future, focusing only on the business. By becoming a Microstock contributor, I can manage my time, and my working hours would be flexible. I will be the boss, anyway. The other benefit is that I will receive passive income. People will make money for me because my agents work 24 hours in 7 days selling my image.
Who will buy our image in that 24 hours?
This business is online-based shopping, so, anyone across the globe, as long as they connect to the internet, can shop on the website. The costumers come from newsletter companies that need the product for infographic purposes to designers who need an instant design for their project. So far, customers are those from countries that respect for copyright very much. The payment methods used are Paypal or Moneybookers.
